John Baldessari: Raised Eyebrows/Furrowed Foreheads
In this body of work Baldessari uses acrylic paint to isolate, enhance and rework facial features taken from fragmented photos, exploring the relationship between the two mediums. The series ultimately rails against the dogma of the flatness of the mediums. Features an essay by Robert Storr entitled High Brow-Low Brow-Eyebrow.
